Driver — Data & Privacy Notice

To sign up as a MOEdo driver we ask you to scan your Emirates ID so we can verify your identity. This notice explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and when we may share it — including with the authorities. Please read it before you consent.

1. What we collect

• Emirates ID — images of the front and back of your card.
• Details read from your ID — your full name, Emirates ID number, date of birth, expiry date and nationality.
• Your mobile number — confirmed over WhatsApp.
• Operational data — while you work: your delivery activity and, with your device's permission, your location, so we can assign and track deliveries.

2. Why we collect it

• Identity verification (KYC) — to confirm who you are before you carry deliveries and handle cash.
• Your account — to create and secure your driver account and login.
• Running the service — to assign jobs, plan routes, calculate your earnings and support you.
• Legal & safety — to meet our legal, regulatory and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and keep the platform and the public safe.

3. How we protect it

Your ID images and details are encrypted at rest and access is restricted to authorised personnel who need them for verification and compliance. Your ID is never shown to other drivers or to customers.

4. When we share it — including with the authorities

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

• With UAE government authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement — when we are required by law, by a court order, or by a lawful request, or to comply with identity (KYC), anti-fraud, transport and labour regulations.
• With a company you choose to join — if you join a courier company with its code, we share the details it needs to engage you.
• With trusted service providers who help us operate (for example secure hosting), under confidentiality and only as needed.
• To protect rights and safety — to investigate fraud, abuse, disputes, or threats to anyone's safety.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your ID and verification records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as the law requires us to — then we securely delete them.

6. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your data, or to delete it and close your account — except for records we must keep by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time, though we may then be unable to keep your driver account active.

By ticking the consent box and continuing, you confirm you have read this notice and you consent to MOEdo collecting, storing and using your Emirates ID and the details above for the purposes described, including sharing with the authorities where legally required.
