Privacy

Last updated 17 October 2026

When you request early access we store what you type in the form: company, name, email or mobile, emirate, rider count, current tool and your message, with the date and a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse.

We use it only to reply to you about ae.delivery. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or send you automatic messages.

The data is stored on our servers in Germany (Hetzner). You can ask us to delete it at any time by sending a request through the same form with the word "delete".

Inside the app, the maps and traffic-aware route times that delivery staff and riders see can come from Google (Google LLC, United States: Routes API and Maps JavaScript API). Our servers send Google only map coordinates, never names, phone numbers or addresses; the map itself is loaded from Google by the staff member's or rider's device, so Google also sees that device's IP address and the area on screen. The receiver tracking page does not use Google.

Rider app

This part covers ae.delivery Rider, the app riders use when they work for a delivery company on ae.delivery.

Who decides

The delivery company you work for decides what is done with your data, so it is responsible for it (the controller). ae.delivery runs the system for your company and handles your data on its instructions (the processor).

Your account

ae.delivery keeps your name, mobile number, rider code and the company you work for. Your PIN is stored only in a scrambled form that cannot be turned back into the PIN. When you join from the app, it also keeps the numbers and expiry dates of your Emirates ID, your driving licence (with its category) and your RTA delivery certificate if you have one, and your vehicle's plate, type and year. You type these numbers yourself: the app never takes or keeps a photo of your ID. Your company uses them to approve you and to check that your documents are still valid.

Your location

While you are on shift, your company sees where you are so it can plan your stops and tell receivers when you are close. Off shift, the app only notes where you are when you do a task, such as a scan. It never tracks you.

Your shift starts when you tap "Start shift" and ends when you tap "End shift". While it is on, your phone shows that your location is being shared. Each task you record, such as a scan, arriving at a stop, a delivery or a failed delivery, is saved with the place where it happened, so your company can show where a parcel was delivered. Positions outside the UAE are not stored.

Camera and photos

The camera reads parcel barcodes on your phone; only the code is sent. When your company asks for proof, the app uploads the photos you take (the parcel at the door, or the door when a delivery fails) and the signature drawn on the screen. Before a photo leaves your phone, it is made smaller and its hidden details (place, phone model and time) are removed. Keep faces and ID cards out of your photos. The app never uses the microphone.

What you record at work

Who took the parcel and who they are to the receiver, whether you checked an ID (never a photo of it), the delivery code, the cash you collected and handed in, the reason a delivery failed, and your notes to the office. When you call a receiver or open WhatsApp or SMS from the app, it records that you did, with the ready message it filled in. It does not record the call itself.

Your phone

ae.delivery keeps a random number the app creates the first time you sign in, and your phone's model name, to keep your sign-in safe. If your company turns on app notifications, it also keeps a notification address for your phone. Work you do without signal stays on your phone until it is sent.

What the app does not do

It has no ads, and no advertising or analytics tools. We do not sell your data. The app does not read your contacts, your photo gallery or your files.

Who can see it

  • Your delivery company's staff, each according to their role.
  • Other riders in your company see your first name, your rider code and how far away you are, from the last place the app noted, so they can pass parcels to you.
  • Receivers see an estimated arrival time. The tracking page never shows your name, your phone number or your position. If you call or message a receiver from your own phone, they see your number, and the ready messages include your name.
  • Shops never see who you are. Some shop staff can read the note you write when a delivery fails.
  • Our service providers: Hetzner hosts our servers in Germany, and maps and route times can come from Google, as described above.

How long it is kept

  • Location points: 90 days. After that, only a short summary of each shift is kept: the number of points, the start and end time, and the area covered.
  • Proof-of-delivery photos: 13 months. Signatures, door photos of failed deliveries and the place where each task happened are kept with the parcel's record for the same 13 months.
  • Receivers' contact details: 90 days after delivery.
  • Cash and payment records: 7 years, because the law requires us to keep them.
  • Your account: until you delete it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app: end your shift, open Settings, tap "Delete my account" and confirm with your PIN. Once you hold no cash for your company and have no stops left, your name, phone number, ID numbers, PIN and location history are erased within 30 days. Delivery and cash records stay, with your name removed, because they must be kept.

Can't sign in? Ask by email

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Some records must be kept by law, such as cash records. Ask your delivery company first, because it decides what is done with your data. You can also write to us at the address under Contact.

Security

Everything between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your sign-in is kept in your phone's secure storage. After 5 wrong PINs in a row, the account is locked for 15 minutes.
